I love the salty and sweet combination of almonds and chocolate. This filling oatmeal keeps me going all morning.
To make this a complete meal, add a handful of berries or chopped fruits, like bananas or apples, to the top.
For a fall twist, add some stewed apples mixed with cinnamon, brown sugar and raisins.

Almond Chocolate Overnight Oats

INGREDIENTS
½ cup (45 g) old-fashioned rolled oats (gluten-free if desired)
½ cup (125 mL) plant-based milk*
2 Tbsp (30 mL) almond butter
1 Tbsp (7 g) ground flaxseed
1 Tbsp (8 g) chopped dairy-free dark chocolate
Optional toppings
Chocolate shavings
Chopped toasted almonds
Sliced Banana
Fresh Raspberries
Directions
Combine all ingredients together in a mason jar or air-tight container and let sit overnight in the fridge.
The next morning, top with desired toppings and enjoy!
Notes
*Nutrition tip: try to use a plant-based milk that is fortified with calcium (offers approximately 120 mg calcium per 100 mL serving). For more information on calcium, check out our post.
Storage: keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
