Toppings are often my favourite part of a meal. They can help to spice up a dish, add some creaminess or crunch.
This super quick guacamole adds all of that. It's heavy on the garlic flavour, with crisp fresh onions and buttery avocado. It's great to snack on with crackers or chips, but I love to add it to tacos, salads and burrito bowls.
Make it your own by adding in other spices, like garam masala or paprika powder, or add other veggies like tomatoes, cilantro. And if you're like me, add a generous squeeze of sriracha too.
Easy and Quick Guacamole
▸ ▹ Vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free, oil-free, refined sugar-free, one-pot
Yield: approx. 1/2 cup Prep Time: 5 min Total Time: 5 min
1 ripe avocado
1 lime, juiced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 red onion, diced
1 tsp (5 g) cumin
1/2 tsp salt
Mash all the ingredients together in a small bowl with a fork.
Serve on a taco bowl, tempeh tacos, burrito bowl, or with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
Storage: best if enjoyed right away, but you can store in the fridge for up to a day.
Variations: make it spicy with a dash of sriracha, garam masala or paprika powder, or add fresh tomato or cilantro.
